Basic Commands

Text commands to the phone number 23559 (23559 spells CELLY)

Join a cell

Send a message to a specific cell and set that cell as your current cell

OFF
Mute a cell - stop receiving alerts on a cell and move it to your muted cell list
Usage: OFF (cellname)
START
Create a cell. Newly created cells are default to "Open Chat" conversation mode and "Username" privacy. See: MODE, PRIVACY, INVITE

List the cells that you are a member of
Usage: CELLS
CLOSEPOLL
Close a poll that you have started and send out the results.
Usage: CLOSEPOLL
LEAVE
Stop receiving alerts and forget about a specific cell, or list the cells you can stop
Usage: STOP (cellname)
MEMBERS
List the members of a cell
Usage: MEMBERS (cellname)
POLL
Start a poll for members in your cell.
Usage: POLL Which day works best? #thursday #friday #monday
SETUP
Setup a cell - change the cell privacy and messaging mode settings
Usage: SETUP (cellname)
SETWELCOME
Update the welcome message for a cell
Usage: SETWELCOME cellname welcomeMessage

Member Commands

BLOCK
Block a user: you will no longer receive messages from them
Usage: BLOCK usernameORphonenumber
INVITE
Invite friends to join a cell. See also: UNINVITE,KICK
Usage: INVITE
KICK
Remove and uninvite a user from a cell
Usage: KICK cellname usernameOrNumber
POINTS
Show your ranking with respect to other users, or the rank of another user. Use Celly more to raise your rank.
Usage: POINTS (username)

Explicitly send a message to your current cell. The '.' tells Celly that you are sending a message instead of a command.

Explicitly use a command. The '!' tells Celly that you are sending a command and not a message, in some cases avoiding confirmation menus.

Turn message acknowledgements on or off (default: on)

Turn join announcements on/off (default: on)

BIO
Update your personal bio that other people see
Usage: BIO your new bio
CELL
Show the name and stats of your current cell
Usage: CELL
CHANGENAME
Request your userName to be changed. Celly support will contact you.
Usage: CHANGENAME newUserName
MYCELLS
List the cells that you have created
Usage: MYCELLS
PASSWORD
Set/update your password to use on the Celly website
Usage: PASSWORD
SHARE
Send a friend a text that tells them how to start a cell on Celly.
Usage: SHARE phonenumber/username

ADDCURATOR
Add a curator to a cell that you started
Usage: ADDCURATOR
APPROVE
Approve friends who have tried to join your cells
Usage: APPROVE
CELLS
List the cells that you are a member of
Usage: CELLS

DELETE
Delete a cell
Usage: DELETE cellname
INFO
Retrieve the description of a cell
Usage: INFO cellname
LAST
Retrieve the last message from a cell, or if count is specified, the (count) most recent messages

MEMBERS
List the members of a cell

MODE
Set cell messaging mode. Controls who can message: Open chat, Curated chat, or Alert-only
Usage: MODE (cellName)
POLL
Start a poll for members in your cell.
Usage: POLL Which day works best? #thursday #friday #monday
PRIVACY
Set the cell privacy. Controls how people can join the cell.
Usage: PRIVACY (cellName)
REMOVECURATOR
Remove a curator from a cell that you started
